The Historic Empress Ballroom in Mexborough plays host to a gala evening of fine Indian cuisine, live music from celebrated Pink tribute Emily Clark, as
well as comedy entertainment and a charity auction, hosted by special guest compere, the hilarious Josh Daniels.
The evening is held in support of the Dearne Valley Personal Development Centre, and represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses to show support
to an honourable cause whilst raising their profile with peers, and a chance to extend their business network.
It’s all for a Good Cause
Founded in 2012 by John & Jackie Irwin, the Dearne Valley Personal Development Centre is a place of education for young people who have found themselves
disengaged from mainstream schools and colleges.
Their belief is that many young people have grown with little sense of self-worth, and conventional education does not always fulfil some discreet learning and
behaviour needs, so the DVPDC aims to combat such issues by offering shorter working days, emphasis on physical activities that help to deal with anger,
aggression, team-building and health, whilst also developing social skills and respect for others.
John, Jackie and their team are passionate about, and dedicated to helping young people to get back on track. With specialist tutors who have vast experience in
their field, the charity is able to offer real skills and qualifications to young people.
By attending and/or sponsoring this event, you are directly contributing to moulding the futures of countless young people, and we endeavour to provide you
with tremendous benefits that will repay your investment in different ways.
Introducing Your Host for the Night
Known as the Cheeky Prince of Parody, your special guest compere Josh
Daniels is an experienced comedian with a career spanning more than 25
years, having shared a stage with such stars as Peter Kay, John Bishop and
Michael McIntyre.
Josh will bring his cheeky brand of Northern humour to the Empress Ballroom
for one night only at the grand charity dinner and dance evening, delivering
songs and jokes with his unique brand of comedy.
Live Music Entertainment
Renowned performer Emily Clark brings her celebrated Pink
Tribute show to the Empress Ballroom for one night only.
Emily embodies Pink’s raw female attitude and brings it to life in
her incendiary live performances. Including such smash hits as
Get the Party Started, Just Like a Pill, So What? and more.
An Opportunity to own Sporting Memorabilia
In partnership with JTG and Future Events Promotions, the charity dinner event
will be capped off nicely with a silent auction of highly sought-after sporting
memorabilia.
Expect signed goods, and items used by global superstars as they conquered
their sport. The full roster of available sporting memorabilia will be published
before the event, and will be included in the event programme.
Northern Soul DJs
Fresh from their sell-out Summer Showcase at the Empress
Building, popular Northern Soul DJs HINCHY & YOGi bring
their brand of entertainment to the wheels of steel for our
guests to slide, kick, drop and spin their way to the end of
the night.
