Disaster Recovery at the Empress Building & Ballroom - Kirk Turner Saves the Day as Elvis Tribute

The Empress Building & Ballroom recently faced a challenge when their booked Elvis tribute, Mark Summers, had to cancel due to working overseas and flight strikes. With only a few days left to find a replacement, General Manager Jemma Evans took charge of the situation and set out to find a solution.

After a frantic search, Jemma managed to track down Kirk Turner and his Kirk Kreole Elvis Tribute Act, Journey to Graceland. Luckily, Kirk had the date free in his diary and was able to step in at the last minute to save the day.

The event turned out to be a massive success, with Kirk delivering an amazing show that delighted the audience. Maddison Winder, who attended the event, said, "I had such an amazing time today watching Kirk play Elvis!! The staff there are so sweet and try their hardest to make sure you have a good time!! The manager made my day by showing a drawing of Elvis I drew to Kirk himself and, at the end, helping me talk to him. You won’t find a better place for a night out. "Thank you so much to all the staff and Kirk for making my day amazing."

Comments from other attendees were: -

Alison Beighton, said, "I brought my granddaughter for her birthday, and we both had a great time. The atmosphere was amazing, with people dancing right from the first song. I won tickets to another event and booked the Glam Rock in September, although I'm sure I'll be back before then."

Kaye Taylor says, "It was a really enjoyable night. I enjoyed my dance with Elvis. "We will be back."

Gillian Sanderson says "What a fantastic night love it and Elvis was great the viva dance was brilliant love it will be coming again"

Owner Jason Mace and General Manager Jemma Evans were both thrilled with the outcome of the event and praised Kirk for his professionalism and talent. The Empress Building & Ballroom is now looking forward to forthcoming attractions, including the popular Top Rank Experience on April 7 and a tribute to the Arctic Monkeys by another Sheffield band. The Artic Numpties are set to play on April 8 and an all day bank holiday Sunday, April 9, with a Northern Soul event.

The Empress Building & Ballroom is proud to have hosted such a successful event and thanks Kirk Turner and all the staff for their hard work and dedication.
