The Empress Building will host a Gala dinner featuring a line-up of sporting legends
Mexborough’s iconic Empress Ballroom will play host to its inaugural charity Dinner and Dance evening on Saturday October 15th with a packed entertainment line-up that promises huge value for money for those in attendance. Up to 250 guests will be presented with a pre-dinner drinks reception where Top Junior Latin Dance couple Christopher Buttle and Ruma Baker will delight them with a very special dance performance, before a four-course dinner of delicious Indian food. The evening will be hosted by hilarious comedian and compere Josh Daniels, and will also include a live performance by a celebrated Tribute Act to the wildly popular singer Pink, and a very special auction of sporting memorabilia, before the evening is seen out by local superstar Northern Soul DJs, HINCHY & YOGi.
The evening is held in support of the Dearne Valley Personal Development Centre and represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses to show support to an honourable cause, whilst raising their profile with peers, and a chance to extend their business network.
The children’s charity is operated by Jackie and John Jo Irwin, the latter of whom is a former British and Commonwealth Featherweight Champion, and with him he will bring renowned local sportspeople in the form of Tommy Joyce MBE, former British boxing champion and Commonwealth Bronze medallist Alan Richardson, and former World Darts Champion, Dennis “The Menace” Priestley.
Alongside renowned celebrity and sporting names from yesteryear, there will be some signed memorabilia from Junior Witter former world boxing welterweight champion. Graham Oliver guitarist and founder member in the heavy metal band Saxon.
The evening still has tickets available, with full tables of 10 available from as little as £250 inc VAT, or just £25 per single ticket.
